IEP Coordinators
Your IEP (Individualized Education Program) Coordinator serves as the key link between your family, the school district, and Alternatives For Children.
They represent our program during your child’s CPSE (Committee on Preschool Special Education) meetings, where your child’s eligibility for special education, goals, and services are discussed and decided.
An IEP is a written plan created for a child who qualifies for special education services. It outlines your child’s learning strengths and needs, sets specific goals, and describes the services and supports that will help your child succeed in school. The IEP is developed by a team that includes you, your child’s teachers, specialists, and school district representatives. It is reviewed and updated regularly to make sure your child is making progress and receiving the support they need.
IEP Coordinators guide families through the process of initial evaluations for students who may qualify for special education services and ensure that your child’s IEP recommendations are fully implemented.
Their goal is to support you and your child at every step, making the special education process clear, organized, and collaborative.
