Parent Training
Parent Training
Parent training, also known as parent counseling and training, is a related service provided through a child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
It supports parents in developing the skills and knowledge needed to help implement their child’s IEP at home and in everyday routines. Parent training may include understanding a child’s educational needs, learning about child development, and becoming familiar with special education services and available resources.
This service empowers parents to actively participate in their child’s education and collaborate effectively with school professionals to support meaningful progress.
