Art Therapy
Art Therapy
Art Therapy is used to improve cognitive and sensorimotor functions, foster self-esteem and self-awareness, cultivate emotional resilience, promote insight, enhance social skills, reduce and resolve conflicts and distress, and advance societal and ecological change.
Our weekly Art classes have a wide range of benefits for our children; by engaging in hands-on-art activities, children can develop a greater sense of body awareness and improve their overall physical condition; art activities can help to improve attention and focus in children by providing a structured and engaging environment for expression and exploration; by incorporating different textures and materials, art activities can help to improve cognitive functioning in children by engaging their senses and encouraging analysis and problem solving; art activities can help children to develop a deeper understanding of their own emotions and emotions of others by providing a safe space to express and explore emotions; and, let’s not forget all those fine motor skills the children are working on creating art.
